Sylvie Tellier once again settles scores with Alexia Laroche Joubert!

Only a few days left before the Miss France election! It is this Saturday, December 16 that the ceremony will be held live from the Zénith de Dijon. As tradition dictates, the election will be presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault and recently, the Miss France committee revealed the composition of the jury which this year… will be 100% female.

There are in fact six women from different worlds who have decision-making power over the choice of the future Miss France, namely the actress Stéfi Celma, the model Adriana Karembeu, the singer Nolwenn Leroy, the pastry chef Nina Métayer, the boxer Estelle Mossely and comedian Élodie Poux. Finally Sylvie Tellier, ousted from the presidency of the committee, was chosen to be president of the jury this year and therefore marks a great return to the program.

On December 4, Cyril Hanouna was in charge of his show Do not touch My TV and invited its columnists to comment on the composition of this jury. He then did not hesitate to pick up his phone to call Alexia Laroche-Joubert to ask her
: “Why only girls on Miss France?”. And the latter responded: “It’s a real question! We said to ourselves that with the death of Geneviève de Fontenay, whom I consider to be a feminist, it would not be bad to put women in the spotlight. With Sylvie Tellier also at the presidency of the jury, we said to ourselves that this makes sense!”.

This Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Sylvie Tellier was invited to the Buzz TV set and answered journalists’ questions about his future and a possible replacement for Jean-Pierre Foucault. The one who was elected Miss France in 2002 then also mentioned the jury. “It was not me who composed the jury but I am very happy to see all the women at my side (…) We have women who either have a link with excellence, or we have a link with the Miss . I have the feeling that we are going to have a jury of concerned women” she confided.

I heard Alexia who said that the choice of this jury was a bit of a response to feminism and then I heard that it was perhaps a tribute to Geneviève de Fontenay. Ugh! For me, feminism is above all not about excluding men. This jury should not be presented as a feminist jury! Maybe this year they will have a 100% male jury, that would be nice too“.
