In MarseilleMayor Benoît Payan had already announced on August 11 the extension of free admission until August 31.

The initiative has already met with great success in three weeks: more than 50,000 bathers in Marseille and 125,000 in other swimming pools in the Metropolis, with attendance records recorded in major facilities such as Gardanne (more than 21,000 entries) or Venelles ( nearly 20,000 swimmers).

In Marseille, five municipal swimming pools are also reserved for the implementation of the “I learn to swim” system, which has already enabled the training of more than 5,000 young people from Marseille in swimming this year.
