Sweet Hof thinks big | The Press

For years, the Hof Kelsten bakery team has worked in cramped conditions in its premises on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, north of Mont-Royal Avenue. In addition, it does not supply on demand.

Jeffrey Finkelstein and his new partner Suyin Wong have just given themselves the means to produce many more pastries, cakes and bread by opening a second branch.

Located between Parc Avenue and the MIL campus of the University of Montreal, it is not very accessible (except to workers in the building and the surrounding area), but accessibility was not the primary goal of Hof sucrée.

First and foremost, they needed to find a large space where Jeffrey and longtime pastry chef Suyin could realize their dream of working in an efficient, controlled environment. What they found at 400 Atlantic Avenue (roughly behind the cool Atlantic Tavern) exceeded their expectations.

What awaits customers: the best croissants in Montreal, biscuits, a few sandwiches and salads, quality coffee, essentially the same offer as on the Handwith a few tables where you can feel comfortable lazing around a bit.
