Suspicious death in Rosemont: The 71-year-old man was indeed the victim of a murder

The 71-year-old man found dead a week ago in a dwelling in the Rosemont district of Montreal was indeed the victim of a murder, police authorities have confirmed.

According to our information, the victim would be Pierre Boisvert. His body was discovered last Friday evening, in an apartment building located on 4th Avenue, between Masson and Dandurand streets.

It was a man in charge of carrying out renovations in the building who made the macabre discovery in the middle of the evening.

The case was initially treated as a “suspicious death” by Montreal police.

In light of the autopsy results, major crime investigators were able to establish beyond any doubt that Pierre Boisvert was the victim of a murder, the seventh to be committed in Montreal since the beginning of the year.
