The symposium organized by the far-right group Action Française finally took place in the capital on Saturday May 13 after justice lifted the ban from the police headquarters. A demonstration is also planned this Sunday, May 14 to celebrate Joan of Arc.
Several hundred sympathizers of the radical right were gathered in colloquium in the 12th arrondissement of Paris this Saturday, May 13. A demonstration at the call of the royalist movement “Action Française” which was however prohibited a few hours earlier. A ban established by the police headquarters on the instructions of the Ministry of the Interior who feared disturbances to public order. The ban was eventually overturned by the administrative court in Paris. A decision that guarantees the principle of freedom of demonstration.
A new event scheduled for Sunday, May 14
A disavowal for Gérald Darmanin who had decided to ban several far-right demonstrations after the controversy sparked by the gathering in the public square in Paris on May 6 of ultra-right activists. This Sunday, May 14, the same demonstrators will again be able to parade in Paris in front of the statue of Joan of Arc to honor her memory.
