A New Mexico man charged with sexual assault was found in a vehicle with six children after being arrested by police.
Footage from a police officer’s body camera, in July 2022, shows the incident involving Jeremy Guthrie. He was pulled over on a New Mexico highway after driving erratically.
According to the “New York Post”, the police found empty bottles of tequila and whiskey as well as six children. One of them allegedly accused him of sexual assault.
When the police saw the children, Jeremy Guthrie, who smelled of alcohol, allegedly claimed that they were “his friends”.
He was charged with impaired driving and six counts of child abuse. A 12-year-old child in the vehicle is believed to have become pregnant after being assaulted by Jeremy Guthrie. However, she would have had a miscarriage.
According to “The Albuquerque Journal,” Guthrie is suspected of sexually assaulting at least one other underage girl.
Jeremy Guthrie reportedly used apps and social media to meet the kids. Upon his arrest, the police contacted the families of each of the children.
The accused remained detained for the duration of the legal proceedings.
