Arrested in February 2021, Guy Boutin and his spouse, Julie Blackburn, had been presented as a couple of pedophiles making babysitting announcements on Kijiji with the aim of attacking the children in their care.

In anticipation of her trial, Julie Blackburn admitted to having transmitted to her spouse, Guy Boutin, 11 photos of a naked six-year-old girl that she was keeping, as well as the possession of 811 files of child pornography found at their residence.

Julie Blackburn announced that she was going to present a defense of constraint, saying she was under the yoke of Boutin. He will go to trial.

Trial for sexual interference

Since this arrest, Guy Boutin has faced new charges and is on trial for sexual contact and exploitation of a 14-year-old girl in the 1990s. On Wednesday, the 49-year-old man testified in his defense, totally refuting the alleged acts.

When it came to a first event where the accused allegedly inserted his fingers into the teenager’s vagina, he claimed that the 39-year-old complainant’s testimony was totally false. “I didn’t do anything she said, there were people in the place,” he defended himself.

The second gesture of sexual contact would have taken place a few years later, during a trip to the United States when she was accompanying Boutin, a truck driver. The complainant claimed to have felt the fingers of the accused in her vagina, she who was sleeping in the cabin of the truck. Once again, Boutin refuted the charges saying that the configuration of the berth did not allow for such a narrative.

“propensity to lie”

Well aware of the charges pending against Guy Boutin and the admissions of Julie Blackburn, Me Louis-Philippe Desjardins asked the accused if he had any sexual interest in the children. “It’s not in my morals. I don’t have the taste for that, it doesn’t tempt me”.

Judge Jean Asselin will have to render a decision disregarding the pending charges of child pornography, but Mr.e Desjardins wanted to highlight the “lack of seriousness” of the accused, who is “not trustworthy” and who “answers anything” to the court, by adjusting his testimony. Judge Asselin took the case under advisement.
