The director of the Sacré-Cœur Catholic primary school in Noyal-Muzillac, in Morbihan, was taken into police custody on Monday October 9. He is suspected of sexual touching of children at his school, the diocesan management of the department told France Bleu Armorique via a press release on Tuesday October 10, confirming the information revealed by The Telegram.

Children say they were touched several evenings in a row, during a school trip in early October to Ireland, according to testimonies collected by France Bleu Armorique. “He told me that he had been sexually touched by his director, and that friends were also victims”testifies a mother.

The principal of this school is suspended during the investigation

“A friend of my son admitted it to his parents, and his dad came to see us straight away and we contacted the other parents so that they could tell their children”, she continues. Another mother says her eight-year-old son, in fourth grade, escaped being touched “because he didn’t want to take off his underwear”.

The head teacher, less than 30 years old, had been in post for three years in this small school. He is suspended while the investigation is carried out by the gendarmes, under the direction of the Vannes prosecutor. His police custody was extended on Tuesday October 10, and the parents and children were interviewed at the Muzillac gendarmerie.
