This Monday, April 29, actor Gérard Depardieu was interviewed by judicial police investigators in Paris. Suspected of sexual assault during filming in 2014 and 2021, the actor will be the subject of a trial in October 2024.
For around ten hours, Gérard Depardieu was interviewed and confronted by several complainants in the premises of the Parisian judicial police. During the day of Monday April 29, the actor was questioned about suspicions of sexual assault on film sets. Police custody was lifted at the end of the day. The accusations are notably made in the press by a former assistant on a short film by Jean-Pierre Mocky shot 10 years ago.

“I open a cupboard and he pushes me in, grabbing my ass and shouting, ‘Scream! Scream! This is going to make them cum down there!’testified a complainant at Western Mail on February 16. Two other women accuse the actor, this time on the set of Green shutters, a film by Jean Becker released in 2021. Gérard Depardieu is notably indicted for rape and sexual assault after a complaint from Charlotte Arnoult. In total, around twenty women testified in the press or in court. Monday evening, Gérard Depardieu received a summons to appear before the criminal court. He will be tried in October for part of the charges against him.
