An international arrest warrant has been issued against a 51-year-old father, after the discovery of the body of his ten-year-old daughter, found asphyxiated at his home in Haute-Savoie, confirmed this Thursday the criminal center of Annecy. It was the older brother of this little girl, born in 2011, who discovered the body last Thursday at the family home, located in Veigy-Foncenex, a town located on the Swiss border, said the public prosecutor of AnnecyLine Bonnet.
The parents were going through a marital crisis
The house had been partially burnt down but the autopsy concluded that “the child obviously did not die from the fire but from mechanical asphyxiation”. The father, “unreachable since the evening of the events”, has been actively sought since the discovery of the body and is the subject of an international arrest warrant. The victim’s parents were crossing “a marital crisis” says the prosecutor.
Judicial information for “murder of a 15-year-old minor and degradation by fire”co-referred by two investigating judges of the criminal center of Annecy, was in the process of opening. The investigation was entrusted to the research section of the Chambéry gendarmerie.
