Failed communications operation for the British royal family. Kate Middleton’s health remains at the heart of concerns in the United Kingdom. On the evening of Sunday March 10, the main press agencies decided, in an extremely rare occurrence, to remove a photo published earlier in the day by the British royal family. It was the first official photo of the Princess of Wales since her abdominal operation earlier this year.

Kate Middleton sitting, radiant, in the middle of her three children, big smile for everyone. Photo published on British Mother’s Day, with thanks from the Princess for the support received over the last two months.

Amazing details

Except that when we examine the image more closely, we notice crude retouching, notably on the wrist of Charlotte, the daughter of the princely couple. Several media were also surprised by the absence of a wedding ring on the finger of Kate, who married Prince William, heir to the throne, in 2011. The photo was taken “at Windsor earlier this week”the palace further clarified.

In the evening, the main international news agencies AFP, AP and Reuters decided to remove the photo from their servers. The case is now on the front page of Times and Telegraph.

Buckingham Palace’s publication of this image came after a long and unusual media absence for Kate, which has for weeks sparked speculation about her state of health. And the mystery surrounding the operation she underwent fuels the wildest rumors. Kate Middleton, usually very present in the daily lives of the British, has disappeared for more than two months without knowing the precise reason. This manipulation reinforces the impression that the Palace wants to hide something: the last official public appearance of Prince William’s wife dates back to the royal family’s Christmas mass at Sandringham at the end of December 2023. The communication operation therefore turns fiasco.
