No indication of distress
People from the neighborhood interviewed by TVA Nouvelles after the tragedy said they had not heard any altercation or cry of distress coming from the home.
A neighbor who lives across the street knew the victim and she even adopted one of her kittens.
According to her, her partner had shared custody of two children who visited him every other weekend. There was no indication that the woman feared for her safety.
“She didn’t seem distressed to me. We couldn’t have suspected something like that,” she said.
Another neighbor said the woman often walked around with her head down. On the other hand, he described the spouse’s temperament as “excited” and his nature as “complicated”.
