A person has been in police custody since this Wednesday March 8 in the morning, after the death of a student found on Saturday March 4 in his Parisian apartment, franceinfo learned from a source familiar with the matter.
The 21-year-old was killed in the capital’s 16th arrondissement. According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim, who no longer answered calls, was stabbed. Still according to the prosecution, the death dates back to Thursday, March 2.
Investigation opened for intentional homicide
From a source close to the case, a knife was found next to the victim. In another development, video surveillance of the building showed a man whom investigators believe have identified as the main suspect. The statements of the caretaker of the building to the investigators therefore seem to be confirmed. The latter had declared having seen on the video surveillance cameras a hooded individual who seemed to be heading towards the victim’s apartment. An investigation for intentional homicide was opened and entrusted to the criminal brigade.
