It’s been more than four months since Lina, 15, disappeared into the Bas-Rhin. On September 23, the teenager left her home on foot, heading towards the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station, in Bas-Rhin, but disappeared on the way. What happened to him ? No avenue is ruled out.
As part of the investigation, the gendarmes have a lead and are trying to find a man: he is a suspect aged around twenty. To identify her, the investigators contacted by email all the parents who have a daughter attending the college that Lina attended. The gendarmes ask parents to question their daughters on a particular point: they want to know if any schoolgirls from this establishment located in La Broque were able to discuss or meet a young person in their twenties in a playground in September, the month of Lina’s disappearance, or if a friend of their daughters has already confided in such an encounter.
The investigators explained to the parents that this man arrived and left in a gray Clio. The police have been interested in this model of car since the beginning of the investigation. A witness said in fact that he saw Lina in this dark-colored Clio on the day of her disappearance.
A complaint for “gang rape” re-examined
In this email, the gendarmes also want to know the pseudonyms of the Snapchat social network accounts of these schoolgirls, without giving the reason for this request, to protect their investigations. However, we know that social networks are being scrutinized by investigators, looking for a clue or even a lead to find out what happened to Lina.
At the end of January, finally, the Saverne public prosecutor’s office announced that it had carried out a “new legal study” of the rape complaint filed by young Lina in June 2022, a year before her disappearance, a complaint which has so far not given rise to prosecution. Fifteen months before her disappearance, Lina, then aged 13 years old, had filed a complaint in June 2022 for acts described as “gang rape”. According to the daily Latest News from Alsace, two adult men admitted to sexual relations, while affirming that they were consensual relations. However, “dAs soon as the investigation into Lina’s worrying disappearance was opened, this information was immediately communicated and used by the investigators.“, then specified the Saverne prosecutor, Aline Clérot. These two young adults were exonerated in Lina’s disappearance, franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation.
Lina’s mother wants to “maintain a glimmer of hope”
The teenager’s mother would also like to follow the investigations course. This is why she asked to be heard on Thursday February 1 by the two Strasbourg investigating judges in charge of the case. As a civil party, she wishes, and it is her right, to have access to the file.
“Every day that passes, she wonders what could have become of her daughter on that disastrous day of September 23 and what car she could have gotten into.“, explains his lawyer, Matthieu Airoldi.
She wants to have as much information as possible, so that she can finally set some milestones, tell herself that there are leads and that she can maintain a glimmer of hope to find her daughter’s trace.

In this case, no suspect has yet been taken into custody. Lina’s phone stopped working at 11:22 a.m. the morning she disappeared. She had just sent a short video to her boyfriend, while walking on the road where she then vanished.
