It was the event, Sunday February 4 in Los Angeles (United States), Celine Dion made a surprise appearance. The star, who suffers from a neurological disease and who no longer performs, received a long standing ovation.
“It’s an absolute honor to welcome the one, the only: Céline Dion”, it is with this sentence that Trevor Noah, presenter of the Grammy Awards ceremony, received the Canadian star. Like a friend we are happy to see again, the whole room rose to welcome Céline Dion, suffering from a rare disease: stiff person syndrome. The Quebecer had not appeared in public for almost two years. “It gives me great joy to present this Grammy Award, which two legends presented to me 27 years ago”she declared before presenting her prize.

She presented the award for album of the year to the one who follows in her footsteps towards the summit of glory: Taylor Swift. The 34-year-old American fills stadiums all over the world like Celine Dion in her time. Smart, she took advantage of the Grammy Awards to announce some good news: “I want to say thank you to my fans by revealing a secret that I have kept for two years: my new album will be released on April 19!”. Another woman in the spotlight, Billie Eilish who received the song of the year award.
