“Superhero despite himself” by Philippe Lacheau, a film that mixes comedy and adventure

The film tells the story of Cédric. Apprentice comedian in trouble, he finally landed his first role in a superhero film. One evening, while borrowing the filming car, he is victim of an accident which causes him to lose his memory.

When he wakes up, dressed in his vigilante costume and surrounded by film props, he is persuaded to have become the character of the film with a perilous mission to accomplish. But is not a hero and even less a superhero who wants… And even less Cédric.

The real starting point for the screenplay was the idea of the actor shooting a film and losing his memory. The superhero theme came next. Philippe Lacheau decided to parody Batman to preserve some logic since Bruce Wayne has no superpowers, and relies on gadgets and mastery of combat techniques.

For his film, Philippe Lacheau appealed to the pillars of the gang to Fifi : Élodie Fontan, Tarek Boudali and Julien Arruti and Paco Boisson

Throughout the film, you can find well-known scenes from superhero movies like the upside-down kiss from the first Spider-Man or Joaquin Phoenix’s choreography in “Joker”. For combat sequences or car chases, it is the visual language of the American action movies who inspired the team.
