Super Bowl | The inside story of the halftime show

Curious to discover the inside story of the Super Bowl halftime show? A week after Usher’s performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Apple released a behind-the-scenes video of the R&B star’s performance on YouTube.

Lasting around ten minutes, this mini-film documents the rehearsals which preceded the big event. We see Usher surrounded by his dancers, both in shoes and in-line skates, in addition to hearing the singer pushing the note with some of his guests, including Alicia Keys while she performs My Boo. We also discover previously unseen shots, captured on the football field on February 11.

“I put the songs together like puzzle pieces to reflect this type of soul music, R&B and this mix of pop that I have,” Usher says of choosing the pieces for the performance.

The video also shows the 45-year-old artist working out. In these images, Usher confides that every day he feels new ailments.

Super Bowl LVIII was watched on average by more than 123 million people, according to data compiled by Nielsen and Adobe Analytics. This is a record for this always highly anticipated sporting event.
