After the thaw in the rain in recent days, the cold sunny weather will return during the weekend throughout Quebec.
Sunny weather will thus be in place in all sectors of the province on Friday, but temperatures will generally drop, contrasting with the mildness of this week.
In Montreal, the Laurentians and areas of the St. Lawrence River valley, for example, it will be -3°C, according to Environment Canada forecasts for Friday.
Almost the same weather conditions will prevail in the center and east of the province, with sun and cold, but perhaps less biting in places.
On the other hand, in western Quebec, as in Abitibi, it will be colder, since the mercury will show -12°C on the thermometer, with a breathtaking wind chill.
For the weekend, the sun will be present almost everywhere in Quebec with however an even lower mercury to reach -7°C in Quebec and -12°C in Saguenay.
The clouds will be back on Sunday in the south-west of the province, such as in Gatineau and Montreal, while the temperatures are expected to be seasonal, according to the federal agency.
