K’Andre Miller scores decisive goal in Rangers win

Defenseman K’Andre Miller scored at 19:26 in the third period and the New York Rangers defeated the Seattle Kraken 3-2 on Sunday.

Miller scored with a wrist shot, right after a face-off won by his team.

Yanni Gourde of the visitors had tied the game 34 seconds earlier on the power play, during a penalty against Mika Zibanejad.

Earlier in the game, Zibanejad got his 17and goal of the season, in addition to being an accomplice to Alexis Lafrenière’s ninth goal.

Zibanejad has 12 goals and 26 points in 18 games.

Igor Shesterkin made 40 saves for the Rangers, who are 14-4-2 at home.

The club have won six of their last seven games at Madison Square Garden.

Shesterkin has been beaten only once in his last nine starts.

Jared McCann was the Kraken’s other goalscorer and Philipp Grubauer stopped 21 shots.
