The Kings win 2-1 against the Penguins
Adrian Kempe scored two third-period goals, including the short-handed game-winner with 3:10 remaining, and the Los Angeles Kings beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 on Sunday night.
The Kings came to spoil the evening where the Penguins paid tribute to former team and National Hockey League star Jaromir Jagr, who saw his number 68 retired during a pre-game ceremony.
Aged 52, Jagr played the first 11 seasons of his NHL career with the Penguins out of a total of 24. He collected 1,921 points on the Bettman Tour – second all-time behind Wayne Gretzky –, winning two Stanley Cups.
After the number 68 retirement ceremony, Jagr participated in the pre-game warm-up with the Penguins players. They all wore his sweater and his famous Longueuil cut, which has become emblematic, which he wore during his first professional years.
Sidney Crosby scored his 31e net of the season, at the end of the first period on the power play.
Kempe tied the score with 6:11 remaining in regulation. The shot appeared to deflect off Penguins forward Rickard Rakell, before slipping past goaltender Tristan Jarry.
Cam Talbot blocked 29 shots for the Kings, who have won five of their last six games. Jarry stopped 31 shots.

It was a ninth straight loss for the Coyotes.

The local favorites erased two one-goal deficits and have a 21-5-0 record in front of their fans, the best in the National Hockey League.
Alexandar Georgiev blocked 27 pucks, including several in the last 80 seconds of play, while former Montreal Canadiens Artturi Lehkonen was in the penalty box for tripping an opponent.
Matt Dumba, Lawson Crouse and Logan Cooley moved the strings for the Coyotes, whose last victory dates back to January 22. Karel Vejmelka made 33 saves.
Jonathan Drouin had a goal denied in this meeting. The video review, requested by the Coyotes, showed that Mikko Rantanen was out of play. He obtained an assist in the game.
