Sunday in the NHL | Jets win final regular season game 4-3

(Winnipeg) The 47and Kyle Connor’s goal of the season helped the Winnipeg Jets beat the Seattle Kraken 4-3 on Sunday in the final game of the NHL season.

Connor hit the target at 9:05 of the third period, crowning the Jets’ comeback. Fans gave their team a standing ovation following their fourth straight win.

Morgan Barron, Blake Wheeler and Dominic Toninato also scored for the Jets, who will miss the playoffs but were perfect in four home games to wrap up the campaign.

Goaltender Eric Comrie stopped 27 pucks in his 19and game this season. He was Connor Hellebuyck’s deputy.

Alex Wennberg had a goal and an assist for the Kraken. Daniel Sprong and Riley Sheahan also moved the ropes in a losing cause.

Chris Driedger blocked 23 pucks for the Seattle squad, which finished its inaugural season with a 27-49-6 record.
