A majority of French affirm read more during the summer, on average 2 to 3 books. Booksellers are thus experiencing sustained activity, and offer a wide range: paperbacks, popular in the summer, bestselling novels, love stories, biographies, thrillers, classics, and even works in English, so that everyone can find their account, including Anglo-Saxon tourists.

Bintily Diallo receives today Tonie Béhar, author of best-selling novels, whose latest On n’empetre pas une étoile de brilliance has just been published by Charleston. She tells us about summer readings and the relationship that everyone has with reading.

Tonie Behar always prepares a list of books to read during the summer: “I’m a big reader”, she says. She likes to read beautiful stories, stories that make us travel in time, in space. “I like the characters who take us on board”she tells us. “The secret of a great story is the characters.”
