Despite the searing heat that sweltered Quebec City on Thursday, Rivers Cuomo took the time to do some sightseeing ahead of his band Weezer’s concert in front of a crowd of 65,000 on opening night.

On his Instagram account, he says he loved it. “It was perfect,” he wrote alongside a series of photos from his time in the capital.
“You have been fabulous [jeudi soir]. Each of the 65,000 people on site. Thank you very much, I love you, ”said Cuomo, who wrote some of these words in French.
He then described his day of sightseeing in “this magnificent city”.
“I took a walk at the Citadel, down a nature trail and up those crazy stairs. I spoiled myself with a soft cream at the end of the day.”
On a snapshot, we see him tasting his soft cream on rue Saint-Jean, where he seems to have been able to wander without being recognized.
