In a long message published on her social networks, Safia Nolin condemns the return to the screen of Maripier Morin, whom she had denounced in the summer of 2020.

“Each person who allows these people to regain their place of privilege in the public square is responsible for the ambient fear and the message that it conveys: you can do anything, it does not matter”, wrote the singer-songwriter.
In “the worst case”, “you will have your first role in a film and take two years off to focus on your sobriety”, she continues in reference to Maripier Morin who plays Arlette in the film of the same name and directed by Mariloup Wolfe.
Conversely, the victims risk death threats and have their backs turned by the industry, deplores Safia Nolin. “I am the one to whom we draw the plug when I refuse to talk about it. It happened to me again last week, ”she reports.
Recall that in the summer of 2020, Safia Nolin with accused Maripier Morin of sexual harassment, physical assault and racism during an evening in a bar two years earlier.
In a subsequent investigation, five people reported to The Press racist comments, unsolicited sexual touching and physical assaults by Maripier Morin between 2017 and 2020.
“I’ve been keeping my mouth shut for two years because I’m afraid of being sued, but carrying it all on my own and feeling constantly humiliated, it tempts me, in fact it’s possible,” concludes Safia Nolin.
