Sum 41 group announces its separation

The Canadian group Sum 41 announced their separation Monday morning on their social networks.

“Sum 41 will go their separate ways. We are going to honor all the last dates of our tour this year and we are going to release our last album together, Heaven :x:Hell“, can we read in a message shared on Twitter.

“We will be forever grateful for the support of our fans, old and new. It’s hard to put into words how much we love and respect you.”

Hailing from Ajax, Ontario, the pop punk band formed in 1996.

The formation changed several times. Current members are Deryck Whibley (vocals and guitar), Jason McCaslin (bass), Dave Baksh (guitar), Tom Thacker (guitar and keyboard) and Frank Zummo (drums).
