(Kassala) Heavy rains and floods are worsening the situation for displaced Sudanese people, more than a year after the start of a war between the Sudanese army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
“The school flooded while we were sleeping. We woke up and found it submerged. Vehicles sank and we lost all our belongings in the water,” Marwa Musa Mohammed said from a UN tent, holding a baby in her arms.
The Sudanese army is led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are led by General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.
