According to the first information obtained by Sportsnet, the intervention would have gone well.
The 25-year-old athlete had an artificial vertebrae in his neck, an operation that had never been performed on a hockey player before.
This is also one of the main elements that led to the break between the star player and the Buffalo Sabers, who preferred another operation.
The latter therefore traded it to the Vegas Golden Knights on November 4. Eichel has already expressed his intentions to return to the game this season, more specifically after the Olympic Games which will be held in Beijing, from February 4 to 20, 2022.
