Companies based in Morhange and in the community of communes of Saint-Avold will be able to benefit from 4,000 euros grant when hiring a new employee. This is what allows the partnership signed this Tuesday, October 25 between theUnion of Moselle Companies and Rehaua company specializing in particular in polymer windows (a kind of plastic), based in Morhange. It comes within the scope of a “revitalization agreementfor Rehau after its 2020 job safeguard plan. 106 positions were then eliminated.
“When a company with more than 500 employees or belonging to a group of more than 500 employees carries out a job protection plan, it has the obligation to reinject a financial sum into the territory in favor of employment.“, specifies Kévin Liégeois, the development and training manager at UE 57. Rehau has therefore chosen to pay grants of 4,000 euros per new hire (within the limit of 33 jobs) in companies based in Morhange or in the community of communes of Saint-Avold.

“It can be jobs of any type. On the other hand, they must be permanent jobs. After one year, we will check whether the employee is still in the company. I am going to organize an information meeting on December 8 in the municipality of Morhange and invite around thirty companies to present the system to them, so as to prioritize these companies.“, completes Kévin Liégeois.
Another agreement has been signed, this time between EU 57 and the municipality of Morhange, to organize events which must help local businesses to develop their attractiveness.
On October 10, Rehau also announced to its employees a restructuring of its activity, with the loss of 43 jobs on 292 in Morhange. A new social plan that still needs to be validated by the labor administration.
