students from Baigorri and Saint-Jean-de-Luz create a huge fresco on the beach

A huge Basque cross and geometric figures of 70 meters by 50. It is the fruit of the work of a good hundred young people this Monday on the large beach of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. As part of Maths Week, 120 students Donostei schools in Baigorri, Sainte Famille school in Urquijo and Sainte Marie college in Saint-Jean-de-Luz attended an outdoor geometry class on the beach.

The creation of this ephemeral work was an opportunity to make the youngest aware of respect for the environment and the practice of sport through several workshops. In a few months they will meet again to create a new geometric figure on the mountainside on the side of the Aldudes valley.
