Michel Drucker is once again meeting his loyal viewers on France 3 for a new issue of Can’t wait for Sunday. For 1h30, the host will receive several artists and debrief their news. In the first part of this October 2, it will offer a tribute to Bourvil, with the economist Philippe Raimbourg, one of his sons.
André Raimbourg, whose real name was, was a real popular figure in the 1940s and 1950s. He first enjoyed success with music, by creating a caricatural role as a somewhat simpleton peasant, then with shows like The flowery road, Pacifico or The Good Hideout. On the strength of these experiences, Bourvil then turned to the cinema, where he played in comedies before alternating with drama. His role as an unemployed black marketer under the Occupation in The Crossing of Paris (1956) had also earned him the prize for interpretation at the Venice Film Festival. Bourvil remained a star until his death in 1970, aged 53.. Cartoonist Emmanuel Chanu will be there to revisit the life and career of the artist in drawings.
In the second part of the show, Michel Drucker will return to the present by welcoming French sailors to his set.
