According to an alert issued by Environment Canada earlier in the afternoon, winds from the southwest of up to 90 kilometers per hour are expected this evening.

“High winds could blow loose objects away from a surface and break tree branches. Strong winds could cause power outages and break tree branches,” the federal agency said.
