The attacker’s file is finally materializing on the side of ASSE! Announced since last weekend, the signing of Ibrahima Wadji has just been formalized on Tuesday morning. This 27-year-old Senegalese striker has so far played in Azerbaijan, at the Qarabag club. Described as fast and loving to go deep, Wadji notably scored four goals in eight games this season in qualifying for the Champions League.
“Ibrahima runs a lot, makes a lot of calls and will help us perform this season.”reacts his new trainer, Laurent Batlles.
Other recruits expected, but probably not Lefort
In addition to Ibrahima Wadji, other recruits could be formalized in the coming hours, including Lorient’s Thomas Monconduit (midfielder) and Léo Pétrot (defender).
On the other hand, the track leading to defender Jordan Lefort (Young Boys, Switzerland) seems to fly away. While an agreement seemed to have been reached between the different parties, the player finally went to another Ligue 2 club, Paris FC.
In the direction of departures, Yvan Neyou could leave ASSE. According to Spanish media, the Saint-Etienne midfielder could be loaned to Leganés (Spanish second division).
