In Germany, the mess at the airports. An endless queue, stranded passengers and thousands of canceled flights across the country… This is the consequence of the strike launched by the ground staff of Lufthansa, the leading airline group in Europe. A social movement very followed by employees who ask in particular for an increase in wages. More than 7,000 people are currently missing from the German airline industry.

In Spain, the olive harvest is threatened. In Andalusia, an olive oil producing region, drought is beginning to worry farmers. Here, after a very dry winter, it has not enjoyed since several weeks. Production should not exceed 20% of the average of recent years. An economic catastrophe in prospect, because thousands of jobs depend on these olive trees.

In Turkey, an expected opening. In Istanbul, the coordination center responsible for controlling grain exports from Ukraine via the Black Sea was inaugurated. He will be responsible for enforcing the agreement signed last Friday between Russians and Ukrainians, under the aegis of the UN and Turkey. As a reminder, Ukrainian and Russian wheat represents 30% of world trade.
