With the advent of streaming as a means of consuming series, platforms abound and each tries to do well, even if it means investing crazy sums in programs.

An elf against a dragon. Who will emerge victorious from the fight between streaming platforms? Friday, September 2, Prime Video was released The Rings of Power on his service. This series, taking place in the universe of Lord of the Rings, is the most expensive in history with a budget of 465 million dollars per season. This is the double of another series from a popular universe: house of dragonsinspired by Game Of Thrones, with $200 million for the first season. For a consumer of series, there is no secret: “They know we’re all going to be behind watching the show.”

If Disney +, Prime Video and many others are struggling to be the largest streaming platform, Netflix, a pioneer of its kind, has seen the number of its subscribers drop for the first time in its history. Disney+ also claims to have surpassed Netflix in number of subscribers worldwide.
