Dirty evening in Ajaccio for the supporters of Racing Club de Strasbourg. After seeing their team sink on the lawn (defeat 4 to 2, after leading 2 to 0), they were victims of projectiles thrown at the exit of the François Coty stadium.
While the Corsican players were celebrating their victory with their supporters who remained inside the enclosure, the police asked the Strasbourg supporters to leave the stadium quickly at the final whistle. It was then that several individuals threw many objects at the Strasbourg fans.
The communication of the Alsatian club did not yet have a precise report to provide in the evening, but according to the associations of supporters, at least two of them were injured in the face. Several felt unwell.
“We took a lot of things on the face”
The president of Kop Ciel et Blanc, Daniel de Almeidahad the brow bone exploded: “It was flying in all directions, we took a lot of things in the face. I took a projectile in the head, without knowing what it was. I took my legs around my neck. I had the arcade exploded. I bled profusely, for a quarter of an hour, until we were safer and the firefighters took care of us”.
“These are things that have happened before, but I have rarely experienced so much violence, deplores Daniel De Almeida. But I still consider myself lucky that it’s not worse.”
