To better understand the movement, franceinfo teams accompanied demonstrators from Dijon to Paris. On board a motorhome, the subjects of claims have been debated.
This Friday, February 11, we are in the parking lot of a commercial area of Dijon to join the “convoy of freedom”. The atmosphere is festive. Main motivation: to put an end to the restrictive health policy of the government. “Trying to unmask the children, trying to stop this vaccination madness that no longer makes sense”, insists a participant. We find a motorhome to reach Paris. Inside, five friends with very different activities: employee in human resources, in a media library, plumber or magnetist.
If for two of them the demands are more social, for the others it is the vaccination pass that crystallizes the tensions. Two claim that there would be graphene in vaccines, which would make us magnetic: “It has been proven and said. We saw someone get vaccinated and we could stick a pair of scissors or a coin on him”. But the theory finds no basis.
After a few hours on the road, the convoy stops in Troyes, still in a festive atmosphere. But there is debate on the continuation of the operations: “I suggest to those who are brave and ready to leave for the ring road. For the others, take off at 4am”. Our motorhome chooses to restart for Paris. On the way, another subject: the white trails left by the planes, which for some would be chemicals spread on the ground. “There are planes that project products to reduce the population little by little”, explains Romain, the driver. Again, no basis, the white streaks are due to the phenomenon of condensation.
As we head towards Paris, a police car steers us in another direction. The convoy is dispersed and for our drivers of the day it is the end of the journey about thirty kilometers from Paris. They will finally leave the next morning in Dijon, without participating in the Parisian demonstrations.
