Storm Fiona hit the east coast of Canada this Saturday, September 24, leveling houses, poles and other installations in its path. However, the worst seems to be over for Canadians.

The raging ocean and waves more than ten meters high, carrying the houses of the coast. Such is the sad picture witnessed by the inhabitants of Newfoundland (Canada) on Saturday 24 September. Storm Fiona spared nothing on its way, especially as gusts of wind over 160 km / h came to couple with the raging ocean. “It will surely be an extreme and historic event in Canada”answers Bob Robichaud, meteorologist and hurricane specialist, when asked about the place of this phenomenon in the history of the country.

In addition to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia was also hard hit by storm Fiona and its electrical installations were badly damaged. The authorities had been warned of the importance of the phenomenon to come and had advised the inhabitants to cloister themselves at home with three days of provisions. After this nightmarish episode, East cost breathe again, as the storm is expected to head north of the country.
