An impressive sports car collection went up for sale last month, after spending 10 years in a secret hangar in Brussels, Belgium.
The collection of 22 cars includes Ferraris and Porsches dating from 1975 to 1997. Having been protected by tarpaulins and installed on the first floor of the building, they are in impeccable condition, according to Xavier Molenaar, a classic car expert working for Oldtimerfarm.
According to information reported by various media, the owner of the collection wishes to remain anonymous.
“He wants to remain discreet. I can’t even tell you where the shed where he stored them is. All I can tell you is that it’s in Brussels,” Mr. Molenaar, who was contacted by the owner who wishes to sell his collection, explained to Belgian media RTBF.
Among these cars, Ferrari Testarossas, a Porsche 911 S and even a yellow Ferrari 365 GT BB, a favorite for the expert.
“There were 367 copies, of which only 10 were in yellow. And this one is the only one known on the market in this superb state of conservation. This is almost its factory condition. It was driven little, 40,000 kilometers and, the rest of the time, it was stored in conditions close to the museum,” explained Xavier Molenaar.
Despite the astronomical price of the 22 vehicles, the expert thinks he will find a buyer for the purchase.
“There are a lot of people who may be interested. It’s clear that you have to be passionate about beautiful mechanics, but buyers also think in financial terms. A collector’s car is like stocks or houses: the value depends on the market, and when you have something that everyone wants, it’s the market that sets the price,” he explained. according to the Belgian media.
