Stopping a lift: an evacuation in progress at Mont-Sainte-Anne

An evacuation is underway at Mont-Sainte-Anne following the shutdown of a ski lift.

The Express du Sud, the bubble chair, has been stopped since 1:10 p.m. Several employees are on the scene to assess the situation and evacuate the skiers.

This is the only lift that allows you to connect with another chair to reach the summit or go to the north side.

It is not known at this time whether the evacuation will take place using the emergency engine or with ropes and harnesses.

The station resumed operations last Sunday, January 8.
