A 6-year-old boy named Wadea Al Fayoume was stabbed to death by a 71-year-old man, only because he and his family are Muslims. The perpetrator of the attack, during which the little boy’s mother was also seriously injured, was none other than Joseph M. Czuba, the owner of their apartment.
Alerted by neighbors, police officers went to their house located in Plainfield Township, about 65 km southwest of Chicago. They then came across the injured mother and the little boy who received 26 stab wounds… and who was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. “Detectives were able to determine that the two victims of this brutal attack were targeted by the suspect because they are Muslim and because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Hamas and the Israelis” local police said in a statement.
It is also specified that the woman had called the emergency services to report that her owner had attacked her with a knife, adding that she then took refuge in a bathroom and tried to push him away. The attacking owner allegedly shouted: “You Muslims must die!”.
