In April 2001, Jean-Edouard Lipa joined the very first French reality show: Loft Story. Surrounded by a dozen other candidates, the young man had thus agreed to let himself be filmed 7 days a week and 24 hours a day by the cameras of the M6 channel placed throughout the villa.
Very quickly, Jean-Edouard distinguished himself because of his love affair with Loana and their torrid streak in the house swimming pool… If Loana, who won the edition, became a real star before a sad descent into hell , he remained rather discreet before falling back into anonymity. This Tuesday, April 11, 2023, Jean-Edouard Lipa signed a rare appearance in the program “It starts today” presented by Faustine Bollaert. The episode entitled: “Reality TV, song, soap opera: they marked our years 2000!”, Was indeed devoted to former glories and the host tried to find out more about the course of Jean-Edouard Lipa. She began by asking him what he had in mind when he left Loft Story in 2002: “At the time I was also a DJ in the provinces, alongside my studies. I started working with the Guetta because at the time, David was best known in Paris and I found myself working on Radio FG” he said.

“Sometimes people say to me: ‘stop telling it to you…’, but yes! I helped David Guetta to make himself known to the general French public. He was only a nightclub owner in Paris. So indirectly why would he have hired me? I was a provincial DJ and overnight I did ‘Loft Story’. Apart from my notoriety, I don’t see….” he launched.
