“Stop supporting these stupid celebrities”

Monday, May 2, was held the Met Gala organized by the popess of fashion, Anna Wintour in New York. Among the many stars present, Kim Kardashian has once again not gone unnoticed. The Pete Davidson sweetheart stepped out in an outfit worn by Marilyn Monroe when she performed the song “Happy Birthday Mr. President.” At the time, the icon bought this dress for $1,440 in 1962.

An iconic dress made by French fashion designer Jean-Louis Berthault that sold at auction in 2016 for $4.6 million. It is currently owned by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. To get into it, the Skims designer admitted, in an interview with Vogue magazine, that she had to lose 7 kilos in three weeks because it was impossible to alter such a dress because of its extreme fragility.

Although millions marveled, Lili Reinhart strongly criticized Kim K. “All this to fit into a fucking dress? That’s so wrong. Openly admitting that you starved yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know full well that millions of young men and women look up to you and listen to your every your words. Ignorance is disgusting in the extreme. Stop supporting those stupid, harmful celebrities whose image only revolves around their bodies!”

She went on to say:

“I’m not usually an angry person, but I swear to God the toxicity of this industry really gets to me sometimes and I have to rant on Instagram to unleash my rage”, concluded the young woman of 25 years. This year, the actress of Riverdale on Netflix did not participate in the event after having participated in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
