“Stop! Excuse me, I broke my face”, Michel Sardou hilarious after a fall in the middle of a concert

It’s official !
Michel Sardou is now retired
. This Sunday, March 17, 2024, the 77-year-old artist bowed out on the stage of La Defense Arena, in Paris. However, two other dates should close his farewell tour in Clermont-Ferrand and Brest, dates which had been postponed when he contracted Covid.

For his first and last appearance in the largest indoor hall in Europethe interpreter of Connemara Lakes had planned a grandiose spectacle. “I imagined a very special show in three dimensions and a round stage with 360° screens… But we’re going to get through it, it looks good… And let’s sing in front of 1,000, 10,000 or 100,000, we only see three rows. I’ve never had stage fright. And then I’ve already done central scenes, at Bercy, in Montreal. Well, in short, it doesn’t scare me any more than Olympia”he confided recently in an interview with Parisian.

A tragedy narrowly avoided

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Indeed, Michel Sardou’s concert could have turned into a tragedy, because the singer almost fell. As he tried to leave the revolving stage set up around his musicians, Anne-Marie Périer’s companion tripped. “Stop”, he said, adding: “Excuse me, I broke my face“, to the attention of the public. A moment that several Internet users have shared on social networks.

Far from getting annoyed, Michel Sardou kept his calm, humorously asking the technicians to “rotate” the scene “slower”. Hilariously, Johnny Hallyday’s former sidekick also had a lot of trouble resuming his hit. There is no doubt that this incident will remain engraved in the memories of the more than 20,000 admirers present for the occasion.
