Better known for his career as a rapper and his roles in the cinema, it is nevertheless on the boards that we can find Stomy Bugsy for a play on injustice and the history of Senegalese skirmishers.

Co-written by Stomy Bugsy and David Desclos, Someday…I’ll go to Detroit immerses the spectators in full Second World War. Based on true stories, the play presents a conversation between three imprisoned soldiers: a French soldier, an American and a Senegalese infantryman from the colonial army, Djili Amacombi played by the rapper.

This committed piece emphasizes the humanity, injustice and cruel fate of these Senegalese skirmishers massacred by the French army in Thiaroye on December 1, 1944. Someday…I’ll go to Detroit is to be found from March 26, 2022 to May 29, 2022 at the Théâtre du Gymnasium in Paris.
