Five days after the crisis meeting in Marseille, is it time for revolt? The Olympians are opposed to FC Metz at the Vélodrome stadium on Friday February 9, as part of the 21st day of Ligue 1. A crucial meeting for OM, beaten in Lyon last Sunday and in a series of four unsuccessful matches in the league. Eighth in the standings, Gennaro Gattuso’s men are now six points behind fourth place, qualifying for the Champions League.
Opposite, FC Metz is in a disastrous situation, with eight consecutive defeats in all competitions and only three goals scored over the period. Penultimate attack in Ligue 1, George Mikautadze’s team however has a good record against OM, with only one defeat in their last five confrontations.
