He tamed the Mur de Huy. Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) won the Flèche wallonne, in Huy, on Wednesday April 19, ahead of Mattias Skjelmose (Trek-Segafredo) and Mikel Landa (Bahrain-Victorious). A 12th success this season for the double winner of the Grande Boucle, three days after the Amstel Gold Race and less than three weeks after his demonstration on the Tour of Flanders. Still easy, the Slovenian produced his effort in the last hectometres of the Mur de Huy to drop all his opponents. First Frenchman, Victor Lafay (Cofidis) took a good sixth place (+3”).

Despite a fine attack from Romain Bardet 500 meters from the finish, Tadej Pogacar accelerated at the last moment to win the Flèche Wallonne.  The Slovenian wins a new classic after the Tour of Flanders and the Amstel Gold Race.  He is ahead of Dane Skjelmose Mattias Jensen and Spaniard Mikel Landa.  French side, Victor Lafay finished 6th and 1st tricolor.
