André Manoukian and Stéphane Rotenberg were on the premises of RTL to participate in the show, We redo the TV. Faced with Jade and Eric Dussart, the first was asked about the return of the New star on M6. The second, on her interview given in May 2016 to Celine Dion, a few months after the death of her husband, René Angelil.
After his surprising secrets about the Quebec diva, the host explained that Christine Bravo had tried to dissuade him from becoming a host.
“I was a small chef at France 2 and I revealed to two or three people this desire to be on the air”he began by citing the name of Frédéric Lopez but also that of Christine Bravo. “She looked at me dejectedly and said: ‘But Stéphane, you have no charisma… You have no chance!’she swung at him. “She flattered me anyway, after breaking my knees. She said to me, ‘But you’re smart, the animators are stupid!'”explained Stéphane Rotenberg. “I then see Frédéric Lopez who tells me the opposite, encourages me and so I preferred to listen to him”.
The one who will animate the 14th season of Top chefdecided to talk about it to a producer who is going to have a speech similar to Christine Bravo. “It’s pointless, it’s too fragile, you’ll get bored…”.
Finally, Stéphane Rotenberg did well to follow the advice of his colleague!
Top chef soon on the screens
The fans of Top chef are going to be happy since the 14th season of the culinary program will be making a comeback with some changes. The 16 candidates will only participate in two events each week, so that the episodes will be shorter. So the last chance test will disappear! If the jury will remain the same (Glenn Viel, Paul Pairet, Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze), there will be no red brigade this year. The great friend of Laeticia Hallyday will take the reins of a particular test: each week, the eliminated candidates will compete for the time of a test. The last in the running will be able to re-enter the competition, directly in the quarter-finals.
