Stéphane Orieux’s father began in the 1960s to explore natural solutions to combat parasites and diseases of the vine. Stéphane continued the work and the estate is now organic.
And for our greatest pleasure, the wines, delicious, remain very affordable. This one, the Stéphane Orieux La Bregeonnette Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie 2021, offers a discreet nose, as is often the case with Muscadet, with few fruity aromas, but rather a salty and sea spray impression, with notes of breadcrumbs and almonds. The mouth follows in the same spirit, saline and tasty, with a certain breadth despite a low alcohol content, and delicate notes of citrus fruits and green apple.
This bottle appeals to the table: fresh or au gratin oysters, fish simply grilled or with white butter sauce, warm goat cheese salad.
