Stéphane Bern, who has become the laughing stock of the web in spite of himself, has had a complicated year. Last February, he lost his father. Invited at the beginning of the year on the set of “7 à 8”, the host of “Secrets d’histoire” had confided in his relationship with his parents and his past as a child beaten by his mother. “Yes, my mother had been brought up by a Prussian father. I can tell you that it had to be perfection. My mother was a translator and interpreter, she spoke perfect English, German, Russian and Italian So, you can imagine, when I was repeating my English or German lessons, I took the full face of it”he had revealed, before talking about the violence suffered smaller: “I was not a child martyr. I was beaten, when necessary. At the time, corporal punishment existed. And I haven’t known a day without taking a slap, I admit it”.
