In Windsor, Ontario, unvaccinated workers at the Stellantis plant will be back to work on June 25.
This news, first reported by the Windsor Star, comes after an arbitration process between Stellantis and the Windsor plant workers’ union.
The unvaccinated employees had been on unpaid leave since January. “We felt from day one that this was unfair and unreasonable,” said Dave Cassidy, president of Unifor Local 444.
According to comments collected by the Windsor Star, the arbitration agreed that the measures taken by Stellantis were considered reasonable when they were implemented, but that they would no longer have any reason to be after June 25.
